First time reader of this apparently popular author. She's very prolific which might explain why it came across as so formulaic. Decidedly unscary as occult/paranormal goes and the romance part seemed thrown in just to tick yet another box. OK for beach/cottage I guess. Just not my thing.

I keep trying to get to the end, rather a slow read, not as good as others that she has written
