I finally watched it. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. It is a film that haunts you all day after the closing credits. Excellent film.

I liked it more than I thought, but there were parts at the start I had to push through. I liked the actors, especially the old man most. Bringing back memories of 9/11 (didn't know anyone there), wasn't the most comfortable, but we…

While my wife sort of like it, I think this is possibly the weirdest or worst movie I have ever seen, maybe both. How did this get nominated for Best Picture? It is almost definitely the worst movie I have seen that has actual name actors…

HORRIBLE OPENING CREDITS -- HORRIBLE!! In a flash - I was jettisoned back to the heartbreaking photo captured by the NYT's of a man falling from the south Tower. It took me years to give this movie a shot due to its subject matter and…

There have been times, and quite a few, that I have questioned the validity of time that I have wasted in my life but never to the heightened extent as during the entire time of this longggg, beleaguered movie. Morbid, crestfallen,…

This is a difficult movie to watch, but incredibly well done. The boy playing Oskar does an amazing job of capturing a young boy on the spectrum who is experiencing a traumatic event, and the audience views it for the most part through…

Okay, so I haven't read the book (didn't even know there was a book) but there's something to be said about a movie that takes me over a week to watch it because of how slow paced and boring it is. I found it odd that the opening credits…

Super well written, smart, touching, funny, charming, deep and heart-felt. I can't believe I missed this one. I think the title threw me off, but I cannot recommend it enough. Sometimes I find Hanks a little off-putting- a bit smarmy and…

I guess most of the reviewers here must LOVE the Lifetime Movie Network, because that's what this film reminded me of. If you sit through the whole thing, and that's asking a lot, you'll get a neat wrap-up at the ending, where the mean…

Fantastic movie, I saw it in the theatre several years ago and thought it was worth another watch. It certainly was! Loved this movie. Sandra Bullock, Tom Hanks, Viola Davis, John Goodman, Max von Sydow and the star (to me anyway) Thomas…

An all too familiar subject yet slightly different view from the perspective of a young boy with an anxiety disorder as he works through the grief and anxiety of losing his father. Although a sad topic, we see the boy grow in ways that…

Loved this film and its impact on New Yorkers. The quiet suffering was in display here

Excellent movie. The boy captured the nuances and mannerisms of a child with sensory processing disorder and anxieties beautifully. This wasn't a happy cheerful movie but very uplifting regardless.

I actually saw this and then read the book. yes it's kind of slow and melodramatic but not as bad as critics said, i teared up a bit. I think they maybe went at the story a little differently than the book but partly out of necessity and…

This is a very good but very sad film about loss, how we move forward and the possibilities for connection, if only we seek them out. I have not read the book of the same title on which it was based.

After 20 minutes of ear splitting headache producing offensive previews I finally gave up. I would love to have seen the film. But 20-30 minutes of wasted time to do so means I will not.

Good story, badly acted. The dialog felt very forced to me. It's more of a Hallmark movie. Watch it when it's that time of the month and you have a big chocolate bar. :)

I knew it would be an emotional film but i did not have the full idea of what it was about until actually watching it and i can say with all honesty, i am glad i gave it a chance. I think the film was excellent, showing how an autistic…
