Everybody has that one movie that matches their personality, and this one’s mine. It’s a great pick me up, and it’s enjoyable for my mom too. Who doesn’t feel like they are part of the copper package at some point in their lives? Maybe…

It's not a great movie. Will never win any awards. Yet it's one of my favorite feel good movies of all time- for me. Always guaranteed to lift my spirits. I must have watched it a dozen times. Yes I'm a Austen fan, so I get all the little…

OKAY 2013 romantic comedy film starring Keri Russell as a single thirty-something obsessed with Jane Austen's 1813 novel Pride and Prejudice, who travels to a British resort called Austenland, in which the Austen era is recreated. I…

The first five minutes were quite enjoyable. Then it went immediately downhill. My suspension of disbelief was immediately unsuspended by all of the unbelievable characters. This is unfortunate, as the concept itself is great. And I am a…

The 11/2 stars are mainly for the beautiful scenery but the rest of it is major overkill. You really have to be a fan of Jane Austen to appreciate this movie. I am not, so it was too much for me.

Okay, this is surprisingly GOOD, since I'd been expecting it to be bad and bland, at the worse, according to other comments and reviews on this site. It was actually QUITE entertaining. Of course, if you are looking for something more…

Cute movie. Loved JJ Field as the Mr. D'Arcy character.

I liked this movie, the make believe life made the character wake up and look for something real. We all want meaning and purpose in our lives and this character is put on a good track toward a happy ever after.

I didn't know there was a book - I bet it was better. This movie is just a cute - watch it in the background while doing something else movie. The premise is adorable and at the end you feel good about what happened during the course of…

Cute! I enjoyed the book originally.

A contemporary retelling of Pride and Prejudice based loosely on the book Austenland. The movie brings to book to life, but with extra visual comedy tossed in. Try counting the taxidermied animals.

I am a Janeite and if you are coming at it from that angle, let me just warn you, you will be disappointed. Approach this movie with an open mind. Expect a modern romantic comedy, not a period drama. The book was way better than the movie.…

I loved this film. I am not at all familiar with Jane Austen. I have not read her books at all- but after seeing this film I plan to! This is a comedy... Romantic comedy, situational comedy, physical humor, linguistic humor. I loved the…

Keri Russell is spot-on perfect for this role. If you're not very familiar with (or a fan of) the works of Jane Austen, you might find this a bit air-headed, but I adore this movie.

Agreeing with previous comments, it is pretty cheesy. But if you are an Austenite, this is a good ending guaranteed kind of movie and pretty funny!

I know this is a bit cheesy, and like a mixture of Nanny McPhee and The Princess Bride— but that doesn't matter! It was fun, funny, and charming. I loved it!

I loved this movie and have watched it more then once. Yes, it is cheesy, a chick flick and predictable- but light hearted and fun!

I found it pleasing with somewhat low key humour and very few errors or annoyances that can be so common in most films.

Interesting idea (to someone who loves Austen), but poorly executed. My biggest complaint is about the situations of sexual misconduct, assault, and harassment and how they were dealt with: covered up, ignored, and given "happy endings."…

Kept on watching this movie, until half-way through then I gave-up. Over-acting done here - It would have been better, if the plot had not been so predictable and Jenniifer Coolidge was taking the main lead all the time. Lost in Austen…

I loved this movie. Admittedly the book was WAAAY better. But it had fun bits in it. Well done Sony Pictures Classics, well done
