Dave Delano has just finished serving a five-year prison sentence for a manslaughter crime he didn't commit. He spent his prison years wisely, plotting his revenge against the mob he took the fall for with his silence. The plot: a hijacking on the high seas. He knows the mob inside and out, especially its knack for money laundering by refitting U.S. yachts to hide dirty dollars that disappear into Russian banks; money that Dave feels is his. FBI agent Kate Furry is also out to settle a score for herself. The combustion of these two provides a funny romantic caper that keeps everyone guessing until the very end.

This book does not disappoint. It is a diversion from the WWII police crime which I have long admired and I look forward to reading more of his take on modern crime. The good guys are not that good and not all of the bad guys are that bad in the "Ocean's 11" gendre
