After loving the first two books, I was sorely disappointed. This is the worst book of the series and invalidates much of the first two stories. When the fourth, Wolf Wing, came out, I couldn't believe that Tanith Lee had the gull to write another. However, she completely redeemed herself and it was even better than the first two.
