Making Shakespear's plays into movie form is always difficult. This DVD did a great job. The choice of actors and actresses is great.

My then 10-year old nephew loved this film, and I didn't think he would dig or understand Shakespeare. This is a nice film for everyone to enjoy and even for younger ages.

This isn't one of my favourite Shakespeare plays, but since it is one of the most-performed (particularly at Shakespeare in the Parks), I've seen it a few times, and this is the best version I've seen. I think that has a lot to do with the fact that it was shot on location in Italy.

One of the funniest adaptations of one of Shakespeare's funniest plays. Stanley Tucci steals the show, playing Puck as a decidedly earthbound underling, in awe of, yet exasperated by his suave demanding boss Oberon. The lovers (Including Dominic West from "The Wire" and "Batman" Christian Bale) pull off some wonderful slapstick, yet Kevin Kline (Bottom) and the other mechanicals are unexpectedly touching.
