wow...I saw very little redeeming qualities in this except that it did show a lot of food for those who are into italian cuisine. It was definitely slow moving and seemed pointless. It was not an uplifting movie for me.. the characters handled their roles well but I did not care for the story line.

Movie comfort food. The film equivalent of a piece of perfectly prepared lasagna. If you're at all interested in cooking/eating, sibling dynamics, quiet character-driven pieces, quality ensemble acting, witty dialogue, or mid-20th century America, this movie is a must.

Funny in a slightly stupid way. Ah, Italian men are so, well, they are. We all believe in a BIG Night that will change us all for the best. But, did it break them or make them? The women in the film are wonderful.

Slow. Stanley Tucci (Secondo) and his brother (Primo) came left Italy to make their fortune in the restaurant business in America. But even though they are great cooks, their restaurant is going broke. So, they have one big night to help the restaurant. Not a very exciting movie. Part is in Italian. The characters are not interesting. What can I say, but Stanley Tucci wrote and starred in this movie.
