I love this novella. We learn the hardships of poverty and lack of education through a series of monologues from the friends of Emako as they share the details that lead up to her death.

This book really moves the reader with it's guide through a girl's life who was awesome, smart, pretty and great at singing but had haters and best friends. In the end all this didn't matter.
