Directed by Harald Reinl in 1970 based on Erich von Däniken's book "Chariots of the Gods", this 90-minute documentary explores the physical evidences of visits by galactic travelers who came to Earth.
You believe it or not, the film will for sure give you an entirely new set of questions.
It is an intriguing and thought-provoking documentary.
If you believe in extraterrestrial intelligence, this is a must-see.
In a nutshell - Pure WTF Bullshi*t!
Damn it all, anyway! I don't care one frickin' bit what "evidence" the so-called experts may have here to foist into my face in this "believe-what-you-like" documentary - Alien visitation is (IMO) all a total crock of you-know-what.
Based on Erich Von Daniken's well-publicized book - 1972's "Chariots of the Gods" is nothing but a highly-dubious presentation of pure novelty whose dead-seriousness (and total conviction to its subject matter) is actually quite laughable, for the most part.
Travelling the world over in order to present its "alien visitation" evidence as fact - I view "Chariots of the Gods" as simply being a well-crafted travelogue that's cleverly interspersed
with hokey extraterrestrial info-dumps.
This is all, of course, absolutely contrived nonsense made to hoodwink the viewer into believing that alien visitation is, indeed, a reality and has occurred on this planet numerous times in the distant past.
What utter and complete drivel. To suggest that ancient civilizations are incapable of the great feats of architecture and art that they created is utter nonsense. It is creating a premise and then finding facts that might possibly support it is poor logic and awful science.
Is it possible that aliens have visited earth? Not likely but possible. But to suggest that they made it here with conventional rockets defies all of Einstein's science.
The first time I saw it, it was interesting. The second time it became a comedy. Prepare for a laugh.
Superb. I have always wondered about influence of beings outside the earth on human affairs. And now we have lots of details about proving that, yes, they have been here at various times and places in history. Actually I watched the movie twice, being enthralled by the details of the recount. 1972..Still appropriate today as ever
I realize there is great skepticism about this theory, but several aspects do make me wonder. It's dated although filming of the various sites was useful.
