Great to be able to learn something about the Shakers other than just their furniture. I was surprised that there was such a femininist side to it back in the day, and it all worked..for a while.

I know this is a very old DVD by Ken Burns but I've enjoyed the refresher. Fascinating group of people.

I agree very informative and interesting to learn of their standards, reasoning and contributions to American Society. We have lost their craftsmanship which is sad.
