A cultural phenomenon in the '70s, this wildly popular educational television show with big laughs had a bigger message: teaching children basic reading and grammar skills with the emphasis on fun. The best episodes are here in true nostalgic glory.

My 5yr old LOVES the original TEC. I grew up watching it and seeing it again reminded me how much I loved this show. The new Electric Company doesn't hold a candle next to this one. Your children will pick up sounds, grammer and all around giggles just watching is groundbreaking show way ahead of its time and still on top.

My three- and five-year-old boys love this program! They weren't sure at first, but about 5 minutes into the first episode, when the shoes spell "giggle," they started giggling too. I enjoy watching this with them, myself. The songs are very clever and catchy, and my boys are picking up on many reading sounds and on language usage. This first disk has the sketch where Rita Moreno hollers "Hey, you guys!!!"
