Interesting view into the 1978 event. Interviews with survivors who were away at the time, quite a bit of tapes of Jim Jones, and more.

This movie is truly the best documentary I've seen about Jonestown. I learned about Jonesown in my high school English class. I had to watch 20/20 to learn about it and then write a paragraph/essay about Jim Jones. If this movie was made back when I was a student and my class watched it. It would've been easier for us to do our assignment.

To Hell With Blair Witch! This is THE TRUE, Reality based Horror movie. This is a "thriller" that kills, creeping inexorably to it's inevitable conclusion;as pressure builds and builds and Jim gets weirder and weirder. People want to leave, but they can't leave, then everyone, including the folks who want to leave, stop for a drink.

The story of some people who wanted something for nothing, and gave up everything, and everyone, to get it. The film is an honest look, but somewhat edited to make the cult members look more like victims than they were. One survivor mourns the energy and idealism of The Peoples Temple; and then mentions she lost a child or two. And some other relatives. Oh, well; easy come, easy go. WHAT ABOUT THE MOVEMENT?
