Great read for anyone planning to visit Bangkok. You will get a feel for Thai culture and locations are accurate. I got hooked on the story and could not put the book down. I plan to read more from the author.

This appears to be second in a series. Probably need to read first book to get some of the background storylines. Interesting Thai backgrounds and factoids

One of the publisher reviews mentions that "readers might appreciate a glossary for the many thai terms in the book" ... I second that - though some are explained.
I guess I wasn't as thrilled with the writing as I expected to be. Some of it dives a little too far into the cliché'd "film noir" zone for me.
All that said: I found the book when looking for more titles by one of my favourite authors, Christopher Moore (no 'G.') - and thought I might enjoy this one. But so far it's proving to be an enjoyable enough read. More when I finish it...
