In my book, this marvelous novel earned its full five stars. If you've read Melina Marchetta and are wondering, "What next?", this one won't disappoint. It covers many of the same topics as "Saving Francesca" - dealing with grief/depression in family members, finding friends (and more-than-friends) in surprising places, and learning to stand up for oneself. Best of all, it does so in a way that's not preachy, but that feels completely natural.

And no, I'm not getting paid to write this. It was just a great book.
