This compendium of photographs presents interior views of Japanese architect's solutions to small site design challenges. The subtitle may be somewhat misleading because these homes are often large in volume, with several floors or mezzanines, while having a small footprint. This book would have benefited from sketch floor plans for each example. The book concludes with a close-up examination of some novel interior details.
