A bit of a boring read, with what is a very convoluted plot. I read the second book in this series first, by mistake, wasn't impressed with the second book, equally unimpressed with the this one.

Beecher White works at the National Archives where he stumbles upon a presidential secret that just might get him killed. The current Commander-in-Chief has a regular appointment at a secured room within the Archives, set aside for him to examine classified documents but, what he's really studying is a dictionary that once belonged to George Washington. That dictionary might just be a code book used during the Revolutionary War by the Culper Ring, General Washington's personal spies. When Beecher mistakenly gains possession of the book people begin to die. Edit annotation

Really lame ending - read it to the end and the ending was so disappointing. Don't waste your time. Also, this guy thinks Gearge W Bush is wonderful - so he is definitely a man with very strange mentality.

This story is longer than necessary. There are interesting conspiracy plots , but the main characters are not strong and become distracting. 6 of 10 stars
