There are not a lot of good books for teens about LGBT+ kids out there. There are even less teen books with LGBT+ girls and people of color out there. So kudos to this book for making the entire plot about gay and bi kids dating each other - as a teen gay kid it was fun and refreshing to read.

That being said, the writing leaves a lot to be desired. The plot is pretty cheesy, the dialogue is a struggle to get through, and just the entire execution of the book is disappointing. So A+ for the representation but D for the writing. Thanks for trying.

Complete garbage. Alex tried to go out of his comfort zone and failed. If you're a big fan of Alex's DON'T READ THIS BOOK

Characters were good but overshadowed by the horrible dialogue and predictable plot.

I enjoyed Sanchez’s casual style in this lighthearted story of teen angst. It’s rare for a book to tackle so many sexualities in one and Sanchez does an excellent job of developing realistic characters with relatable problems. It was fast paced and hard to put down. A great choice for any teen, regardless of sexual preference!

I love Alex Sanchez, so this book was a bit of a disappointment. As always I loved how he dealt with homosexuality, and in this book, bisexuality (as not too many authors have bisexual characters). I felt he used too much direct characterization though, and that the characters believed they were in love with one another too quickly. Overall it was a nice book to pass some time with, but Sanchez has much better works out there to read.

I found the book to be too simple and predictable. I also found that the author had a habit of stating the characters' feelings instead of showing them, which really annoyed me. Some more/deeper development of the relationships and suspense would have been nice.
Having said all that, I do appreciate that there are books like this that deal with homosexuality and bisexuality. Being bisexual, I get tired of all the stories with only heterosexual characters and relationships
