Three days before Christmas, Matt Jensen is traveling the Denver and Pacific railway when a gang of outlaws cause an avalanche to slam down on the train. As Smoke Jensen and Duff MacCallister frantically try to make their way to the accident, Matt struggles to save the survivors. Starving under a bitter, drivin snow in the brutal, unforgiving Rocky Mountains, and surrounded by armed and desperate outlaws, Matt still dreams of making it home for Christmas. Just started reading Westerns and I really like this author. His characters and plot are solid. You can't help wanting to know more about them and their next move.
This book tells the story of a train wreck leading up to Christmas Day through the memories of a young girl grown. I liked it!
