With some trepidation in choosing this read, I did enjoy it. Not being a "French fan" & always confused over just what factions were which, it did help somewhat to clarify the complexity the French nation faced during the war. I always assumed the 'resistance' were the forces opposed to Nazism & now realize that resistance was divided, greatly complicating the struggle to live through the occupation. I'll likely try another of this author.
