I think what David Housewright forgot when writing this book is that fans of the McKenzie novels are fans because of McKenzie. This has McKenzie in it but he's posing as a rather unlikeable character through the whole book. I made it to page 100 then quit reading it. I couldn't see any reason to continue as there aren't a lot of redeeming qualities to any of the characters and the storyline is pretty boring.
