One of the best works of fiction I've read in some time. It's funny in a tragic-comic way. The main protagonist waxes lyrical about the state of American society as it relates to him. Brief synopsis: A middle-aged man cracks up, gets fired, marriage hits the rocks and he goes on a wild ride to find himself ending up in Yellowstone. Give it a read.
