Yes this is a photographic record, but missing the Art Institute (still standing today). No information on when the photos were taken, or their sources. There is no explanation why the World's Fair was such a big deal (the answer, to celebrate man's material progress). This is a factual presentation but missing detail and description that goes into telling a story. Newspaper accounts, for example, could have given the story human interest.
