My 14 month old loves this book. Actually, it's quite brilliantly written... finally someone who speaks her language! She loved that the cow can only speak one word like her but with so much expression and meaning. For 5 weeks straight, you'd ask her what she wanted to read and she proudly exclaimed, "Moo!" It became a running joke for us all - we'd say, "Moo, moo, moo, moo..." in various intonations and she would laugh. Finally, people understand her!

This is a wonderful, easy, very cute book. The illustrations are fabulous. My almost 3 year old grand-daughter laughs & giggles throughout this book. Everyone smiles reading this book.

Wonderful children's book highlighted the importance of inflection to communicate. "Moo" is the word and our main character uses it to tell us how she feels on her adventure in driving!

Such a fun book! With just one word, you can tell a whole story. Really helps encourage reading with expression, and making inferences based on the pictures.

So much fun! I actually read this to a group of adults it's so entertaining AND my 1 year old likes it.

SO good! With only the word "Moo" the reader gets to play with tone and inflection to interpret the meaning of the story.
This would be great to give an early reader to boost their confidence to read - and to be silly and work on their story telling skills.
Also, I am taking this on my next library storytime outreach!

Loved this picture book! It has only one word Moo! but it conveys so much emotion. Can be read aloud in a storytime, but the Moo sounds need to be emphasized. Fun story!

Moo! (translation...Fantastic!) With a single word, this cow is able to express a huge variety of colours and meanings: peacefulness, curiosity, fear, and sulking are some. Both the pictures and the changing typography of the word convey the joy, and then the trouble this cow gets into when one day she drives off in the farmer's car. Lesson. Don't leave a car within a cow's reach. It will get wrecked, and there will be a policeman involved. The layout and angles act like a camera, changing from long shots to close-ups, as well as giving a dynamic over the shoulder look, and even a dropping-off-the-edge-of-a-cliff look to perfectly portray the story. Brilliant colours, especially in the background, assist in giving definition to the atmosphere that the one word is trying to get across. Moo! is hilarious, and yet it has a subtle level of sophistication that allows parents to enjoy it as well. With just one word, it is essential for this title to be read out loud, and with many funny voices; perfect for storytime.
