Logan 'Kash' Ryan has spent the last three and a half years working undercover in Florida. When a case sends Kash and his partner to Austin, Texas, to follow the trail of a serial killer, they must focus on finding the guy before he can find a new victim. The last thing he needs is the distraction of his beautiful new neighbour, but there's something about her guarded nature and feisty attitude that makes it impossible for him to stay away. Rachel has tried to shield herself from getting hurt again and she knows she should avoid her new neighbour, but she just can't resist.

The cover attracted me to this book, but it wasn't engaging enough to keep reading. I think my guess (not sure if correct) was that she gets hurt before finding Mr. Right and then I stopped reading.
