I really enjoyed this book. I loved the main character, Feyra, who is intelligent and clever. I can't assure how accurate the time setting was, but I enjoyed in nonetheless. This book captivated me until the very end.

This book started out really strong, but as I read I found that it slowed down and wasn’t as much of a page-turner. That said, it was full of strong characters, a wonderful setting, and lots of interesting information about the battle between science and superstition with regards to medieval medical practices.
