In this highly anticipated fifteenth novel in the Immortals After Dark series, #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole spins a sultry tale of a mighty warrior scarred inside and out and the beguiling sorceress with the power to heal him--or vanquish him forever.

Eternal Obsession
As a boy, Thronos, Lord of Skye Hall, loved Lanthe, a mischievous Sorceri girl who made him question everything about his Vrekener clan. But when the two got caught in the middle of their families' war, tragedy struck, leaving Thronos and Lanthe bitter enemies. Though centuries have passed, nothing can cool his seething need for the beautiful enchantress who scarred his body--and left an even deeper impression on his soul.

Endless Yearning
Lanthe, a once-formidable sorceress struggling to reclaim her gifts, searches for love and acceptance with all the wrong immortal suitors. But she's never forgotten Thronos, the magnificent silver-eyed boy who protected her until she was ripped from the shelter of his arms. One harrowing night changed everything between them. Now he's a notorious warlord with a blood vendetta against Lanthe, hunting her relentlessly.

Can the heat of desire burn brighter than vengeance?
With their families locked in conflict and battles raging all around them, will Thronos and Lanthe succumb to the brutal chaos that threatens everything they cherish? Or will the fragile bond they formed so long ago spark a passion strong enough to withstand even the darkest doubts?

Awesome book, great story line, didn't want to put it down. Sad thing is it ended before I was ready for the story to end! Read in 2 days, and it was a marathon read. If you enjoy the 'mystical/mythical' type of stories, with lots of romance, this is the book for you. Definitely an "Adult" book.

I really like the Immortal After Dark series. In this book, Thronos, prince of Skye Hall has known Lanthe, a sorceress, since their childhood. When her parents are attacked and killed by Thronos's brother and others, she does her best to hurt him every time he finds her. This goes on for years, but Thronos knows that she is his mate and vows to pay her back for all the misery she caused him over the year. But when he finds her again, he starts to have different feelings for her. Can their differences be fixed or will they remain enemies. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

I genuinely enjoyed the latest installment of the IAD series. It was filled with lust, love, and pandemonium. This is has a lot more religious undertones to it. Thronos is slightly tiresome with his moral high-ground. I felt that could have been explored a lot earlier in the book with Melanthe revealing to him what exactly happened to her to him. Even though I love Kresely sexual imagery, I felt they were too pushed together and I wanted more of the tender moments that was had between Thronoes and Lanthe.

Things that bothered me:

All these towering males with these homogeneous penis. Thronos is seven-foot to Lanthe's five-feet. It's like a Great Dane having sex with Jack Russell Terrier. I changed that to make them more comparable in size. I just couldn't take imaging Lanthe being skewered and stuffed like a Turkey and being able to seriously enjoy it or handle his girth with length. If a vagina feels tight, it means a woman isn't fully aroused, that means she couldn't and wouldn't be able to enjoy his prodigious member without immense amount of pain.

Must all the females be extremely pale? Can we get a story about Loa? There is interspecies mingling, but all the species are mayonnaise white.

Things I liked:

I liked that Lanthe had a story that was filled with sexual experience. She had sexuality and wasn't afraid to wield it. She owned who she was and made no apologies for enjoying sex. She wouldn't accept nor tolerate slut-shaming. I just don't understand why a woman of her caliber would need self-help books that made absolutely no sense.

The story felt more fluid. Their love felt more learned and earned rather then just: "i-realized-i-loved-you-because-you-passed-me-the-salt." It was them regaining trust in one another, trying to heal and more forward.

Book 15 of Immortals After Dark, preceded by Shadow's Claim. Again, a great book by Cole. Sexy story of Melanthe, a sorceress - Queen of Persuasion and Thronos, Prince of Vrekeners. Thronos is seeking Lanthe for the last 5 centuries as she is his mate. After leaving the Immortal Island, the two are thrown into a great adventure (with the help of Nix) and finally find love. I wonder who is next on the list for finding love - as Nix is on a roll. Can't wait for the next book.
