"While on an expedition to illustrate the magical creatures of the mountains around her home, Hilda spots a mountain troll. A beautiful short little book that shows Luke Pearson's potential in graphic noveling. For those who would like to know, there is a Netflix show based off the concept of Hilda; it's pretty fun.

This fantastical adventure of an artist, reader, and explorer is such a wild trip. I want to hop right into the pages and spend more time with these characters. Super cute and has a good moral - don't make snap judgments.

Super cute book. It is so short though that it feels like you could read it as a bedtime story. I wish it had been longer.

This is the start of a series, and it's a good one. Hilda is one of those heroines the world needs. She's part Pippi Longstocking with a dash of Bilbo Baggins, but you can also call her late for dinner (though that happens in another adventure.)

Lovely illustrations, dangerous foes, fanciful folklore, and just enough cuteness is found within. Looking forward to reading the rest. And also looking forward to the animated series (though that will be in 2018, so don't sweat it just yet.)

If Calvin of "Calvin and Hobbes" lived in Scandinavia, he'd be best friends with Hilda! Whimsy, wonderful drawings, and a heroine who's eager for adventure make this a fantastic read.

Hilda sits in her tent listening to the thunder passing overhead when she hears a bell. As she hurtles towards the vanishing tinkling sound, Hilda unwittingly embarks on an adventure into strange worlds ruled by magical forces.
