What do you do when a hippopotamus comes to visit? Play splashy-sploshy games, of course, to make him happy. Share silly toys in a big warm bath, to make him laugh. SUMMARY: This is a guidebook on how to best pamper a hippo who comes to call at your house. It contains such advice as: offer splishy splashy fun instead of a quiet activity and instead of cookies or chips, offer a big crunchy salad because this is what he likes. And be sure to say goodbye in style because this will make the hippo think you are his new best friend. This will have come back again (and he may even bring friends).

ILLUSTRATIONS: The illustrations were created in ink and digitally rendered. They are adorable, colorful, fun, and large for the younger readers.

THE GOOD: This was a very fun and playful story. The hippo was absolutely adorable and made me want a hippo to play with too. The story was short and simple making it perfect for when there isn't time to read a longer book or for the younger crowd with a small attention span. I was left wanting more.

AGE RECOMMENDATION: Advertised for ages 3-6 which is perfect for this book.
