Having been born in 1948, I grew up with Elvis. I remember the first time he appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. The idea of remixing Elvis vocals with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra sounded like a great idea. First of all this is not just Elvis singing - Fever involves a duet with Michael Buble'. There are so many "back-up vocals" that Elvis does not sound like Elvis. There are a couple of tracks where the music is simply an overlay of the Elvis recording and the orchestra. These few I liked. This was supposed to be an Elvis CD, not an orchestra / back-up singer / duet CD. Disappointed. I want the real Elvis!!!! Kristi & Abby Tabby

But wait, there's more! What if Elvis had sung with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra? And a full gospel choir? Thanks to digital expertise we can all hear it on this disc. It features many of his best hits like Burning Love, How Great Thou Art, and Love Me Tender, as well as making possible a duet with Michael Buble on Fever. The King, who loved lush musical arrangements, would be pleased.
