Our 4 year old grandson adored this book. His parents loved reading it to him, as did I ...multiple times. He loves wacky and weird, and has a strong and crazy imaginative streak, so many children's books are bland and boring to him. Unlike the previous reviews for this book, I give this book TOP marks! We will always remember the peedle pit and the eyeball and the best frints. Here is an author with a great imagination, and delightful illustrative style.

This book has a colorful and eye-catching look. However, considering the age group for which it is intended, the book is pretty violent. In one scene, a creature's tail is bitten off. I think the book is more likely to scare small children than to teach them how to get along with others.

Is this a book or a comic book? Today's kids are being cheated.

I stumbled over the made-up silly words, but my five-year-old liked trying to translate them for me. Bright-colored pictures, but just kind of "meh" for me. The kids only asked to read it a few times.
