As a fan of Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, and the book "Through the Looking Glass" I had high hopes when I found this movie on the shelf at my local library. It was so dumb that I shut it off after thirty minutes. The only resemblance it bore to the book was in the principle characters. Really it is a stand alone story based on the writings of Lewis Carroll. The only thing I found enjoyable about it was the costuming. I would not recommend it to anyone who is not a pre-teen girl.

This would have been a great movie to watch in the cinemas. The scenery was stunning! The actors as always bought the characters to life beautifully, especially Sacha Baron Cohen! It was a delight to watch. Absoultely breathtaking.

Usually sequels suck, but not this one. It can't top the first one, but comes very close. There was not as much chemistry or spark between the Hatter and Alice, which was disappointing. I would have liked to have seen that friendship/romance gain a little momentum. Fortunately, the animal characters and all the rest were more developed and likeable. All in all a good film, worth watching several times.

If you go in without comparing this movie to the first one you will be up for a great adventure.
The first time I saw this I didn't enjoy it, but the second time I had a lot of fun. It was a wonder full adventure.

Good but not great. The first movie was much better overall. The effects were great but perhaps overwhelming at the expense of the convoluted plot and weak character development. The acting was fine but the story needed something.

I was going to watch it but i had to retrun it to the library and i didn't evan started it so i had to put a hold on it the 2ed time i was going to watch this movie in teatures but i lost my movie pass that my friend gave it to me from school and i can not find it who knows when will i find it and when will i watch this movie maybe over the March brake when school will be over ok i fially found the movie pass it was in my room in the book shelf were i have all my books and it was hidden very close to me and i could not find it and yes in january and now i had it to go over March breake to watch the beatuy and the beast movie and that movie was very good i hope the next movie is going to be just as good as this movie i just watched this movie today and last sunday they put the frist Alice in wonderland movie on t.v on cbc sunday it is all about Alice looking through the glass window when i watched the frist Alice movie my little brother put a hold on it back when we were still in high school together i think this movie should be for everyone to watch this movie is about how Alice went back to wonderland i think this movie should be for all ages 14 to 20s or 25 year olds and older this is a really great movie for everyone i still haven't finished it i wanted to renew it but the library didn't let me i have school you know there it was pretty funny when 1 rabbit and a dog ponit this way and the other rabbit is poniting that way . then when the mad hatter says he is going to see his family Alice says they died you can 't bring them back then he got mad and he draggs the poor girl out his home ands says i don't know who you are others would belivie me and slams the door then she calls his named by knocking on his door then she runs away that is a very sad seen for me.and tells the white queen saying he is very ill. I think it is funny when the man's head fell into the soup when his time is up. Me and my brother thought that was funny. I think it's funny when he kisses the queen and everyone groans. The creatures called Minutes remind me of Transformers. It'skind of funny when they spin. When they roar, it remines me of when the Bandersnactch roars in the first movie and it is funn how Time sings as he chases Alice. Then, when Alice finds the Hatter she says "It's you." and he says "If i wasn't, I wish I was." That's funny too. Also, the Hatter taking the box wth the crown very quickly was funny and the man had a hard time putting the crown on the queen and then it broke which made everyone laugh. One lady then tells the queen to put a bag over her head which made everyone laugh again and the queen got angry. Later, there is a scene where Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum fight each other and break their spoon and umbrella and they cry. That was also funny. Also, the Hatter flapping Time's coat and saying "Time is flying" made me laugh. For those of you who have not seen the frist Alice movie the queen starts there too and for those who might not recoizer her she is Anna Hataway she has started in the princess DFaries movies i have the friis one on DVD and the 2d one on vhs i got that one the 2ed one on the brithday back in 2004 and then i got thee frist princess dairis movie on dvd in 2006 i barrowed my cosetin video before to watch the frist 1 and the 2ed one together but she has the 2ed princess daireis movie too but on a DVD i didn't think i will like thast movie when she gave me thst movie fort my brithday but i really liked it and i wanted to get the frist movie to go along with it now i never knew you had it in your collection becuse we aklways lived in waterford and our library never got every new movie like here in brantford ionly the very populor ones but every movie CD i ask or book you get it usally but threw the whole movie i totolly forgot that on t.v they always put on a music video by PINK called Just like fire they had put that on a lot of times and they still do.

I really wanted to like this movie but I found I kept just losing interest. There is SO MUCH CGI that you feel like you are just watching a cartoon or a videogame.

THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME!!!!

Those who appreciate the beautiful CGI fantasy worlds and costumes of this film's predecessor, Maleficent, and Disney's recent live-action Cinderella will find much to enjoy in this colorful sequel. The storyline jumps around quite a bit, but I never felt lost, and everything that I loved about the first film--endearing characters, a gorgeously colorful world, a hero's quest--returned in full force. A couple of scary moments were more than balanced by whimsical and beautiful ones, topped off with a satisfyingly heart-warming moral at the end.
