This story does a wonderful job of encapsulating what bipolar is and how it affects teenagers. I love that the author touches on the characters struggle to keep her secret, and because of this she alienates those around her--she does, not her disorder. And once she is able to realize this, she is ready to grow and move on. I think this is incredibly realistic of anyone going through any sort of mental illness.
