An unflinching look at how women are treated in the United States today. Examining both real-life stories and precedent-setting legal cases, director Kamala Lopez uncovers how outdated and discriminatory attitudes inform and influence seemingly disparate issues, from workplace harassment to domestic violence, rape and sexual assault to the foster care system, and the healthcare conglomerate to the judicial system.

this documentary presents a devastating picture of the lack of protection for women under US law and law enforcement.
The equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution does not protect against discrimination on the basis of gender or sexual orientation, according to Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Corporations fare better than women in Supreme Court decisions.
I knew that the Equal Rights Amendment did't get ratified but I had no idea of the total picture of the ramifications on the daily lives of women in the US.
