My perfect life was a lie.Now I'd do anything to uncover the truth. Not long ago, I had everything a girl could wish for: amazing friends, an adorable boyfriend, a loving family. But none of them know that I'm gone—that I'm dead. To solve my murder, my long-lost twin sister, Emma, has taken my place. She sleeps in my room, wears my clothes, and calls my parents Mom and Dad.And my killer is watching her every move.I remember little from my life, just flashes and flickers, so all I can do is follow along as Emma tries to solve the mystery of my disappearance. But the deeper she digs, the more suspects she uncovers. It turns out my friends and I played a lot of games—games that ruined people's lives. Anyone could want revenge . . . anyone could want me—and now Emma—dead. From Sara Shepard, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Pretty Little Liars books, comes a riveting series about secrets, lies, and killer consequences.

I really enjoyed the fist novel of this series, but wasn't as big of a fan of this one. The story isn't realistic and found that the girls were just catty and annoying, which I guess is the point.
I think a reason I didn't like this book as well as the first one is because I listened to the audiobook instead of reading it. I really did not like the person who read it, she kind of got under my skin.

Emma, now undercover as Sutton, is somewhat acquainted with how everything would be working from then on. She desperately wants to live the life she could always have imagined as Sutton, but realizes that the murderer is still out there. He or she is a major threat that readers will find themselves wondering about... who killed Sutton? Now, uncertainty fills the air as friends could easily be foes, and the element of trust is played on heavily. Everyone compares this series to Pretty Little Liars (show) but truthfully it is way better than both the show AND the books. 4/5 stars

I think this was better than the first one in the series. Interesting and intriguing, but a little over the top.

This book is about how Emma Paxton finds out more about Sutton's murderer and meets Ethan. They thought they found a suspect but at the end they find out that there was no way that the suspect could have killed Sutton.

Never Have I Ever is the second installment in Sara Shepard’s Lying Game series. As Emma digs further and further into the mystery surrounding her twin sister’s death, Sutton, the answers she’s been looking for begin to unfold, and the murderer begins to lurk closer than Emma could ever imagine. Her dead sister’s ghost watches Emma as she begins to puzzle together the pieces. Every piece of information that Emma uncovers about Sutton’s life sparks a small long-lost memory in ghostly Sutton’s mind. Sutton did a lot of horrible things when she was alive. She hurt a lot of people that were in her life and some that weren’t. She kept nasty secrets from her friends and family and once even played a life-threatening prank on her friends… and two of them wanted revenge. As the secrets get juicier, the truth becomes a nightmare and the lies become exposed, Emma finds herself in a very dangerous position; and there’s no way of escaping. In order to solve this mystery she must continue to play the role of Sutton, no matter how hard that may be. Emma’s thrown into a world where she has to figure out what Sutton did while she was alive, and what she didn’t. Her entire world is about to be turned upside down as she tries desperately to put all the pieces together. The only thing holding Emma down is her determination to find out who killed her sister, and a love for someone that she found along the way. Never Have I Ever is sure to keep your eyes glued to the pages, your brain working a mile a minute and your heart pumping to Emma’s. This book is a real page-turner, egging you on and making you not want to leave Emma’s world, even just for a second.

Violence: There are some violent scenes between the friends, and the whole plot is kind of violent. But nothing terrifying in the least bit.
