This novel reminds me that life's struggles instead of privilege can prepare the best leaders.

Winter is easily one of the greatest characters in the series. Her simplicity and little quirks make it obvious why the people love her. The insanity she brings is honestly what really caught my attention, it makes the book so much more creative and keeps you in it's pages. I'll be honest, it was hard to get into reading it at first but by the end, when the book picks up, and the constant hope that your characters will get their happily ever after... you've fallen in love.

This book was amazing. I really liked the character of Winter. The hallucinations that she has make her perspective really interesting to read about, although it seems kind of stupid that Winter won't even use her glamour once to prevent them, even though I do get that it was because of... Well, I won't spoil it for you:). She and Jacin are really cute together, I like how they're so different from one another. Wolflet was ruined for me by how WHINY and POSSESSIVE and NEEDY Wolf was. Seriously, get a life, dude! The romance was cute, for all of the characters (although Wolflet was much better in Scarlet), especially Cresswell and Jacinter (or Wincin or whatever they are called). I just wish that there was at least one single character. We need more kickbutt, independent, SINGLE girls in YA fiction, if only to show that you don't need a man to be happy. The world of Luna was very magical and interesting to read about. The writing flowed beautifully, and the dialogue was natural. I liked the friendships of Kai and Thorne, Iko and Cinder, and Iko and Cress. Also, the love hate relationship between Iko and Kinney. There were lots of funny parts:) Levana was a stronger character in this book than the others. This was so far my favorite Lunar book, and I am really looking forward to the next graphic novel.

This is my favorite book.
Even though it was really long, I still didn't want it to end. I absolutely adore every character and every romantic pairing (so much shipping). Changing perspectives between chapters was really engaging (although sometimes it was difficult to tell whose perspective it was in). Everything was so tense and suspenseful and compelling throughout, yet so fantastically resolved at the end.

This was a really fun conclusion to the series. Very satisfying. I loved Winter and all her quirkiness. And a really appreciated getting to know Jacin better in relation to Winter, what motivates him and how he thinks. I really liked his growth her, from being a staid Royal Guard to being a real member of the revolution. His true motivation was always to protect Winter but he was able to also protect Cress and aid in the success of the revolution through that. I am glad that he wasn't so close minded that he couldn't find ways to be helpful while also fulfilling his greater goal.

Prior to this I had said that Scarlet and Wolf were my favorite couple. I still like them but I think that Thorne and Cress took the lead in this. Cress grew so much throughout this book, as did Thorne, and I felt like they shined here. They were able to grow up as people while growing together as friends before allowing the romance to spark. I really loved the scene between the two of them infiltrating the coronation ceremony. I liked how unguarded Thorne was with Cress. They are beyond adorable.

Scarlet and Wolf are still a great couple. She is fierce and unrelenting in her belief in him. He went through so much in this book and she was still his rock throughout the whole thing. I worried for them at times because it really felt like they might not get the happy ending I wanted for them.

Cinder and Kai were never my favorite couple but I did like seeing the growth of Cinder's political chops with Kai's aid. I liked that she was able to lean on him and let him guide her while she figured out what kind of Queen she should be.

I was really surprised by the story arc for Levana. There was no way I thought I would have any sympathy for that character at any point but Meyer proved me wrong. This book really exceeded my expectation on the villain front. Levana was tragic and broken, and yes sympathetic in some ways. She handled everything the worst possible way, but her motivations were clarified here in such a way that she stopped being a cardboard cutout monster and developed into a fuller, real person. She wasn't just set on world domination. She truly, legitimately believed she was doing the best thing for her people. She was sure that her actions were justified. There was an honesty in her cruelty. The scariest monsters are always they one's who thing they are acting for the betterment of others. I really glad Meyer took the time to develop this character into something more, something even scarier than just a megalomaniac tyrant bent on conquering.

Overall, a very satisfying read and conclusion to the series. The whole journey has been a riot, between meeting all the characters and being with them as they found their strengths and loves I really enjoyed the whole series.

Pretty good book. I really liked the ending to this one. It made me happy. And if you want to see what happens to all the couples read Stars Above.

this was a very good series but the only thing that confused me was cinder at the end of the book wanted to dissolve the monarchy and have the rulers elected, but I the middle when winter figured out that levana thought she was a threat to the crown, winter said "but if someone of non royal blood (such as herself) took the throne it was said that the lunar people would lose their ability to manipulate" but over all I really enjoyed the lunar series. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantasy and Sci fi

She couldn't not say it, although she realized he was right. It was sort of scary. Much scarier than it had been the first time she'd told him, out in the desert. It was different now. It was real. "I'm in love with you."
He chuckled. "I should hope so, after all that." He leaned forward and pressed a kiss against her temple. "And I love you too."-Pg.801
