Calla wakes up in the searchers cell and is worried about shay and her pack. She left them behind in her attempt to protect shay! She felt so bad she had left her destiny behind as well as her pack.. What kinda Alpha was she? But she learns that her whole life has been based on lies... All told by the keepers. Calla must try to get her pack back and her mate! But will she have to choose between love or duty? Shay or Ren? Which one will she choose?
Wolfsbane begins just after the end of Nightshade. Calla Tor wakes to find herself surrounded by Searchers, far removed from her pack, from everyone but Shay. She is desperate to find her way back to her home, but the Searchers have other plans for her. They need her and her pack as allies in their war against the Keepers. At first, Calla refuses - after all, she's fought the Searchers all her life - but the more she talks to them, the more she comes to realize that some of her long-held truths were actually lies. But no matter what has happened, she is the alpha, and she has to help her pack...and her mate. Yet will Calla be torn between love and duty? One of the best books ever. {Second to Matched, of course}.
This is my first werewolf series and I really really am glad I decided to read it. (after twilight the whole werewolf/vampire thing kinda dampered my interests in these kinds of books). But I like Calla's personality and I think she kicks butt most of the time :) I'm rooting for Ren all the way, even though he betrayed her. Shay annoys me to death, but because the series is so good, I just push him in the back of my mind whenever there are scenes of him and Calla together :P And the Searchers are amazingly cool! I'm sad we didn't get to read more of Monroe though because I really liked him, and Conner and Adne are too cute!!! They remind me of shadowhunters and I'm glad the guardians can team up with them :)
This is such an amazing series!!! :DDDD I love it, its so different to most other werewolf books, and i love the way she writes!! Can't wait for the next one!!
This is the second book in the trilogy. This is the part where the story takes a depressing turn and is the more disturbing of the 3. However, it holds your interest just as much as the first and gives you more of the information that you've been so curious to know throughout the first!
These books were pretty good. They arent my favorite books ever but they were interesting and they hooked me. I would recomend them to someone else who liked the whole werewolf thing.
