The characters in this book reminded me a bit of Harry Porter characters, where they all had different 'skills/talents/magical power'. I have never read Harry Porter and only seen parts of 1 or 2 of the movies, but I image it to be like those characters.
The story was entertaining and I enjoyed the sarcasm of the characters. The narrator did a good job reading (listened at 1.6 speed). I enjoyed Rook Thomas and the twist of her having amnesia. But I thought there were missed opportunities for the Gafters to be further intertwined within the story. The ending reminded me of a James Bond movie and was left open for book #2 (but it did have a closure for this story). I enjoyed this book and the creativity behind it. It wasn't graphic either, which I appreciated.

The narrator was great. Her pronunciation of all the quirky little and big words was great and she was able to create a lot of humor from what I imagine would not have been as humorous a read. But differentiating from the letters of the old personality to the new personality was difficult when stopping and starting the audio. Otherwise, it was clever... I enjoyed the world building and the britishness but for me it was just okay.

Stopped listening about halfway through the book... The premise is interesting, intellectually, but the writing failed to make me emotionally invested in the PoV character or any others.

I absolutely adore this book! Clever, witty people with uncanny powers involved in weird conspiracies? What's not to love?

Very interesting. A bit out there but a nice mix of suspense and Sci-Fi. Over all I enjoyed it.

The story is a bit "out there" and reading style is hard to listen to. S's are very sharp and distracting.. gave up in disk 2.
