"Having lost his wife, math teacher Kouhei Inuzuka is doing his best to raise his young daughter Tsumugi as a single father. He's pretty bad at cooking and doesn't have a huge appetite to begin with, but chance brings his little family and one of his students, Kotori Iida, together for homemade adventures. A nice slice of life manga that's about learning to cook but also dealing with grieving and abandoment - it's really sweet.

Six months after the death of his wife, Kohei Inuzuka struggles to raise their daughter on his own. Sure, he has plenty of love and time to go around. As for home-cooked meals? Not so much. A chance meeting with one of his students leads to a deal: he can learn to cook if he cooks with her in her mother’s oft-closed restaurant. A non-romantic slice-of-life series, it gives a view into the lives of two completely different people trying to deal with loss and abandonment in their own ways.

This is the 1st volume in a sweet, but kind of sad manga series about a father who is dealing with his wife's recent death while trying to take care of his young daughter. He is determined to learn to make good food for his daughter with the help of a high school student.

Although this manga is in the adult section, it really is suitable for anyone who wants to learn how to cook. It is a cute manga about a teacher, his young daughter and one of his students (and co.). The teacher's wife passed away 6 months before the beginning of the story but he does not know how to cook. One thing leads to another and he finds himself helping and being helped by one of his students, who happensto be afraid of knives. There is at least one recipe per book. Definitely cute, but the recipes really slow down the plot.
