In theory, the book sounds good, providing an 8-week plan to begin meditation, practice mindfulness, combine the books info on theory and the authors' experience with other practitioners and combine with podcasts of guided meditation you can use for your own practice.

Nice theory but aside from the fact that the writing isn't that good, the web site that supposedly offers the podcasts doesn't match the book. Track numbers for the podcasts are listed in the book but there are none on the web site and while I'm only on week #3, already one of the podcasts that's a regular part of the book schedule for week #3 is just not on the site.

So since the authors are challenged by a simple thing like making their podcasts match their instructions, I'm pretty unimpressed.

Pretty interesting book on how to apply meditation to improve concentration and awareness. Pretty similar to Kabat-Zinn methodology. I liked the idea on following a precise plan to get calm and peace in order to help people to positively confront with themselves and develop compasionate thoughts.
