A successful suburbanite commuter Howard Wakefield takes a perverse detour from family life: He vanishes without a trace. Wakefield becomes a fraught meditation on marriage and identity, as Howard slowly realizes that he has not in fact left his family, he has left himself.

I don't like Cranston and almost stopped watching it then he stopped the cursing and dirty speech so I could watch it. Gardner was great.

Strange film, but somehow it was mermerizing. Excellent acting. It is an interesting study on a man evaluating his life from a hidden vantage point. Kristi & Abby Tabby

Incredible performance by Bryan Cranston! Based on a short story, we thought it would drag out, but it really didn't. We liked it. Although I get somewhat annoyed at movies that don't come to a conclusion that neatly tied up, my spouse didn't mind it at all and says it's better that way.

It's hard to not like a Bryan Cranston film. His acting is incredible and so believable. Just an incredible talent. This film is very different with Cranston talking to himself as he watches his family from a distance. You can feel his pain and his joy as he realizes so many things by watching his family, unknowingly, and the way they move on without him. The ending does leave you hanging, but at least you somewhat know how it does end, even though there are many questions. What a gripping film, and incredible performance.

May have given it a full 3 stars for the performances and the questions the movie provokes but it's ending (seems an all-too-common one if they bother you as they do me) is a personal annoyance.
