The only thing standing between Dr. Lisa Leland and the wedding of her dreams in the Hamptons is a 2,600-mile drive from Los Angeles to her new life. However, a run-in with the law in the country town of Normal, NC, leaves Dr. Leland with a choice: jail or community service. Sentenced to serve three days as the town's doctor, Lisa has her world turned upside down by a man she would never expect. Quickly, Lisa finds that there's a lot more to Normal than she could have ever imagined.

Cheeeeesy (but I like cheese) and Alriiiight <southern drawl (I'd dump Dr. Manicured Eyebrows) And the entire time I thought the judge was Morgan Freeman.

A truly sweet movie. Enjoyed it and the message to slow down, see where you really need to be and find out what matters. We need more movies like this one.

Cute and funny movie, not pretentious and well acted. Miss Bure is excellent as the doctor from big town who gets stuck in small town—really, Flyover Country for you in Rio Linda, lol! And Lou Beatty Jr. is absolutely priceless as the multitalented “Doc” Shelby. I’m not a huge fan of movies that show church meetings, but Beatty does a beautiful job anytime he quotes the Bible—pay especial attention to the end of the movie, when 1 Corinthians is quoted by him. (And, no, I never studied the Bible, but think there are beautiful things in there!) My only problem was with Trevor St. John’s accent; even my husband, born and raised in the US, had a hard time understanding his mumbling. His acting was fine, pity he didn’t articulate the words a bit better—and, no, I have no problem with southern accents. Also, the boyfriend driving from NY to Louisiana in one night, well, that was a bit of a stretch. But, all in all, it was an excellent movie. It should prove to Hollywood that there is no need for nudity, bizarre sex scenes, rivers of blood/guts nor profanity for a movie to work! So, if you are looking for a clean movie and won’t have a fit if the “G” word is mentioned a couple of times, you’ll enjoy this one very much!
