Non-stop self-pity and mid-life crisis angst.

what everyone else is saying.... I thought it'd get better.... wallowing in self pity despite abounding privilege... mid life crisis that is EXHAUSTING to watch... hoping main character completes the journey or improves but he doesn't... seriously, even tho this movie was free I still feel ripped off. just pass on this

If you want to hear the internal dialogue of a mid-life crisis - here you go. If not, you probably want to pass on this.

Stiller's play this depressed husband/father. Because of his out of mind adventures the movie was a bust.

A man having a mid-life crisis by comparing his life to the perceived success of his college friends. I enjoyed this thought provoking movie.

I watched this movie fully intending for it to improve. It never does. If you really want to know the definition of white skin privilege watch this movie. The main character, a 40 something white man, a man upset that his college buddies are making millions, a man who was able to afford to pay for college, is going on a college tour with his son, who he is paying to attend Harvard. Yeah. I really feel sorry for him.

Instead of being positive about the fact that his son has such great talent and is viewing colleges, starting along the path of his future. I got to watch a father boohoo his way through this movie feeling sorry for himself. He had his chance, he picked his future, so move on find the best side of what you have and be happy for your son who is taking his first steps out into the world of his future. Hated the movie, waste of 2 hours.

Makes you understand it serves no purpose to be jealous of anyone. This is a lesson many people need to learn. Be happy with yourself, and don't regret the fact you are not someone else.

This movie is focused on an anxious, unhappy father who is taking his son to visit colleges. While the message is positive, traipsing through the movie to get there is not worth the 2 hours of viewing. The film lacks the necessary character development from an ineffective Ben Stiller playing the main character.
