It seemed like a well cast knock off of Sherlock (B. Cumberbatch) but couldn't quite get over the hump. Still worth a watch on a rainy Seattle Sunday...

Tried but couldn't finish. Considering that I really shouldn't comment. But... in my limited viewing it seemed more American than British. Also lacking atmosphere, missing the mystique and elegance travel on the Orient Express evokes.

Not as good as previous versions. Beautifully filmed, some great actors. I did not like Kenneth B. as the detective, he was hamming it up. I often like him in movies not this time. I could not recognize Michelle Pilfer until she took off that terrible wig, and she too over acted. Johnny Depp was the best thing about this movie besides the beautiful scenes. I am glad I did not pay to see this movie. Shame.

Numerous beautiful scenes of old steam engine train travelling through snowy mountains.

A fun movie to watch, keeps you guessing throughout. The casting was well done.

A fine adaptation of the novel, with Kenneth Branagh directing and taking the role of the eccentric Belgian detective. Leading an all star cast with a murder set on board the fabled train, Branagh's Poirot (and co-starring facial hair) weaves his way through the suspects, as well as the unpleasant nature of the victim.

I'm not crazy about either the '74 Lumet film or the Suchet remake for TV, but both of those versions are far superior to this take which lacks depth and verisimilitude. A waste of great actors such as Derek Jacobi, Judi Dench and Olivia Colman. Michelle Pfeiffer is miscast and her face looks unnatural. Johnny Depp, however, is pretty good. There are so many off-notes in this, but just as you think things will not get worse - they do, never more so than the whole last half hour. To top it off, Michelle Pfeiffer sings over the ending credits, which is jarring inasmuch as it doesn't meld with the mood of what her character has just gone through.

This film is a collection of astonishingly bad choices.

This is the most uninteresting and flat line versioned of Murder On The Orient Express. The characters in the movie were not dynamic and interesting as they were with the David Suchet version . I’m so happy I didn’t get a chance to see it in the movies.

This is not a bad version of Murder on the Orient Express, but why in heaven's name did Branagh choose to wear such an absurd mustache?? For me, David Suchet, is the quintessential Poirot. Still a great classic Agatha Christie story. Kristi & Abby Tabby

While this movie was well cast, and exceedingly well acted, I did not find it as enveloping and convincing as Christie's original piece. Fun, but reading the book is still well worth your time.
