Kind of good, but not the best.

Good. The actor who played Lando looked exactly like Billy Dee Williams (except younger but duh). The plot was good, and provided some good backstory, as well as not messing up the characters. However, I don't like how they treat droids like actual living people. A robot's a robot.

This was a fun movie with a great cast, and that's all one can expect from the 10th feature film in any franchise. By turning it into the type of adventure film he probably enjoyed as a child, director Ron Howard's work on Solo exceeded these expectations for me. My only complaints are that the run time is a bit long, and some of the scenery is too dark. Otherwise, watching Han Solo's backstory come to life was an absolute treat!

A competent action-thriller with a few imaginative moments. I wasn't crazy about it, but after the mess that was The Last Jedi, at least this movie, pacing issues aside, knows how to tell a story.

Disappointing! Did not meet the expectation and was of a poor quality! It looked like a low-cost production!
Too many scenes are done in the dark or are hazy! It is as if the Director was trying to hide the poorly- done, cheap sets and some of the sci-fi characters! The movie jumps, at times, without completing some scenes! Poor editing! Chewbacca was mostly annoying!
Han Solo is a likeable character!
Some of the characters and scenes were interesting, but over-all, overdone with action scenes! Sacrifices the story with mindless action scenes!
*Spoiler* The major scene of betrayal, at the end, was just crazy!
I do not get why so many futuristic fantasy and sci-fi movies have such dismal, chaotic, dark, violent stories and scenes!

I cannot recommend this movie! I am mystified by others' high marks! Must have been a different movie! ;)
I loved the original, but this one just does not scratch the surface!

Overall not bad. Continuity with later Star Wars movies is shoddy at best, and the droid is OBNOXIOUS AND USELESS. The actor who played Lando, however, was such a good match, I have to remind myself it isn't Billy Dee Williams. The stakes feel low, and the legendary Kessel Run sequence: Lamo. If you love Star Wars, give it a peek, but don't expect Rogue One.

It's not a masterpiece but it's not that bad either. So I say it's pretty good.

Felt like Star Wars written by the millennial's that wrote guardian of the galaxy. To cheeky and forced. Great sets but a very muddy and ordinary looking "futuristic" locations. Plot was stupid and dialogue when not searching for a clever joke was expository and dull. Mediocre and safe direction by Ron Howard, just like he did on Da vinci code. Not nearly as good as Rogue One or The Force Awakens witch are fantastic Star Wars Universe films but its not as terribly unwatchable as The Last Jedi (UGH!!!!!). The Main problem is the lead role of Han Solo is unimpressive, lacks screen charisma and has no gravitas to pull us in. He just doesn't seem like Han Solo or that he can ever become Han Solo. Emilia Clarke does a good watered down mother of dragons impersonation with lots of blank looks and earnest staring. Childish Gambino is great as Lando !!!!! a true music genius and great actor. its mediocre and Star Wars isnt supposed to be average. Even 420 doesnt make it better ~

Much better than I expected. Perhaps it was the fact that I am not too familiar with all the planets and politics in the Star Wars movies. Good flow of action, growth of the actors and camaraderie. I found the background story to Han Solo and Chewbacca's friendship quite interesting. The action sequences were Lucas worthy.

36 quotes IMDb and surprised that this one is not in it as of today:

I'm an outlaw. ... What? I'm not kidding.
-Okay. Okay, outlaw, you can tell yourself that, but I might be the only person in the whole galaxy who knows what you really are.
Yeah. What's that?
-You are the good guy.
