Told in interview format, this is the story of a band from the 1970s. On the surface, this book is all sex, drugs, and rock and roll. A fun drama with classic rock as a backdrop. Beneath that, it's a look at family, friendship, and the turmoil that comes with fame. Highly recommended by Jennifer,... Read More »
This book should be listened to- it's amazing and the full cast does a beautiful job telling the story of a band you'll forget is purely fiction.

Add a CommentThoroughly enjoyed the multiple narrators of this audio book; they enhance the experience and make it easier to follow. The story is completely fictional, but several times I found myself imaging that it was real and wanting to know more about the people and the time period. The upcoming Amazon TV series should be interesting.
The full cast in this audiobook are all INCREDIBLE! I can't recommend listening to this one enough.
This is such a great audiobook. I love that each character has its own voice. It will make you want to listen to the songs that they've discussed in the story, as if they really exist. I had to get out some Fleetwood Mac after to get myself through that.
Highly recommend the audio book. Don’t know if I would have liked it as much if I had read the book instead of listening to it. The characters came alive - great acting, never mixed up characters.
Book very well written in that the choices each character made, why they got upset, how they behaved always made perfect sense. From one character’s point of view the other was behaving like an ass. But from the others point of view it made perfect sense what they were doing. so realistic it felt like everything really happened and the book was a legit band biography. (Amazed with all the drug use that more folks didn’t die of overdoses but that’s probably my sheltered upbringing. Not much real life experience with it myself.)
Not recommending it to my mom cause of all the drug use but recommending it to all my friends.
Entertaining. The story was a little too pat for me. The audiobook performances were very good.
I listened to the audiobook, which was well done and provided good listening while on a road trip. But I remember thinking to myself, "Who cares about these narcissistic people?" Well, I still had to know how it all played out. Literature, it's not, but it is good entertainment.
