When I started reading this book I thought it was going to be a short read because the author begins by bragging about how good he is.

If you can get past the beginning you'll see this book succinctly summarizes key negotiating principles the author found useful as a FBI negotiator. Voss gives his insight on what works along with some counterintuitive ideas: why getting your counterpart to say no is one example. It is well worth reading - even if you you only retain a few ideas.

I'd rate Never Split the Difference as one of the two best negotiating books I've come across. (Other book is the Economist Pocket Negotiator.)

after reading I came to conclusion that in reality whole our lives are everlasting negotiations
I read that book only after watching 2 movies about Somali pirates: Captain Phillips and Hijacking - which shows how important is negotiations with pirates.
That book give you some insights what is methodology on the bottom of it.

Don't limit the idea of negotiation to business deals. Life is about relationships and negotiation is a part of relationships (negotiating with family, friends, kids, neighbors, etc.). Chris shares the principles of negotiation that he learned from being the lead FBI negotiator...great stuff.
