Cute story about a boy who wishes for mail, and winds up getting too much stuff. In the end he gives it all away and learns about how much fun it is to give as well as to receive. It would be a fun read aloud for a kindergarten or PreK class.

In an age where mail rarely arrives in a physical mailbox this is great play on where your imagination can take you and what you could potentially receive in the mail. If you could receive anything in the mail what would it be? A fire-breathing dragon? A flying horse? The options are endless. Young Liam discovers that his wildest dreams can come true....I really wish I had a mailbox like Liam. The deeper message arises when Liam realises he doesn't need so much stuff and starts to share it with his friends and makes others excited to receive. A delightful read!

My five year old very much enjoyed this book. The boy's generosity with the mail boxes' "gifts" was a lovely ending to the story.

A very cute story, very imaginative, and has a great message about giving gifts to others.
A bit unrealistic, but still a fantastic story about a boy who asks and receives and learns a great lesson about having too much stuff.

Who wouldn't like a magical mailbox that answers your letters by sending dragons, dinosaurs, rubber ducks? Best of all, it delivers friends. Get those postcards and stamps ready, because this book will inspire you to send some old-fashioned mail.
