A familiar story that involves violent drama at our southern border (Naco, AZ). But the film's tragic humanity comes across loud and clear. It helps to have the big guy Liam Neeson to play a bitter and desperate Vietnam vet.

Liam does his part as an actor. However!! The holes in story plot, you can drive a fleet of 747 Max's through. Didn't like they made the Mexicans dumb and the cartel incompetent. Plus the took a page from the playbook of the 80's tv show A-team. Didn't count the number of shots, but seriously? bullets flying everyone.... Maybe wound some bystanders to compensate for the lack of wounds from those involved in the story line..... And it moves at a slow pace, which isn't always bad, but this movie i found myself fast forwarding through

Even by Liam Neeson's recent movie standards, this is a lame movie. At nearly two hours, it is overly long, the mark of a new director. The plot is ridiculous, as are the in-your-face metaphors. Watch Cold Pursuit instead. At least it has some funny moments in it.

I like the synopsis, and definitely appreciate all the other stuff.

I wouldn't be asking if I didn't need the job.
-Look, Jim, that kind of work is not for someone... Someone my age? Come on, Randall. You know I can outwork any man here.
Sir... They take him, they kill him.
What the hell am I doing? I guess I'm trying to understand how you work your whole life, serve your country, pay your taxes, and end up without a pot to piss in. Lost my home, my livelihood, and the only person that made any of it worthwhile.
Why do you not have one? Is it because you're old?
Some old people don't like phones.
-No, that's not it. Nobody needs to call me, and I like it that way.
You know, I was... I was just like him one day. We all learn to do what we must do to survive. Just like you and me, soldier.
-We made our choices. Let him make his. Let him make his.
Do you think I had a choice? Huh? I never had a choice!
Now you have a choice. (A gun with a single bullet in the chamber.)
