Once again, the BBC & WGBH Boston create a tremendous Masterpiece miniseries of a Dickens classic; brought to life as no others can with a repeat pairing of two enormous talents: renowned screenwriter Andrew Davies and (Downton Abbey) composer John Lunn, (both of whom were responsible for another outstanding treatment of Dickens in a prior Masterpiece miniseries: "Bleak House"). Claire Foy is so damned cute I just want to pinch her cheek. She and Matthew Macfadyen seem like genuinely sweet people. Loved the nasty characters, too: Eddie Marsan as Pancks, Andy Serkis as Rigaud, and Alun Armstrong as Flintwinch... just everyone in the cast; too many to mention. I couldn't stop watching, and I was sorry to see it end. FIVE STARS.
