I have been wanting to read The Two-Family House since I came across it on Goodreads several months ago, but the library didn't own a copy of it yet. Well, when I came across it again (on you guessed it, Goodreads), I searched the library's catalog again and they finally got it! I really enjoyed this novel. The whole secret between Helen & Rose reminded me of the plot of the novel, Truly Madly Guilty; although that book wasn't nearly as good as this one. What I appreciated the most was that Lynda Cohen Loigman didn't keep the infamous secret from readers until the end of the book like Liane Moriarity did in Truly Madly Guilty. Instead she brought the conflict to light right away and built an awesome story around it. I ended up finishing the book in less than 12 hours because I just had to see how things would play out between the families involved. I was also very satisfied with the story's ending. I'll be on the lookout for future novels by Lynda Cohen Loigman.
